Jaroslav Jerry Siakeľ, 1921, shot in the United States by Slovak-American producers with a largely amateur troupe. Theodor Pištěk as the outlaw Jánošík, the Carpathian robber taken as a folk hero. Often cited as the first Slovak feature; it is a US production about a European legend, silent, about sixty-eight minutes. US publication 1921.
