L'Œuf du sorcier ou L'Œuf magique prolifique
1902 · 2 min · FR
Directed by Georges Méliès
A skeleton on a table becomes a magician, the magician produces an egg and draws a face on it, and the egg swells until it is a head, then a woman, then two women. Méliès performs it as a stage act, with dissolves and substitutions on the black set, and the camera is the one spectator who can see the trick and still not catch it. 1902, two minutes.
