Directed by Christy Cabanne
Margaret Holt and her brother go after the narcotics ring that killed their father, and a reporter and a mystery novelist, Ned Sparks in his dry-as-dust mode, help take it apart. Bessie Love, a silent lead since Intolerance, plays Margaret, and Christy Cabanne directs in the flat, talkative style of the first sound years. An hour of programmer, from a 1912 stage play already filmed once in 1914, worth a look for Love and Sparks and for the studio's idea of a drug plot before the Code made the subject unfilmable. RKO, 1930.
