Montenegro during the Balkan Wars: Sonia runs the farm after her brother dies, and the prisoner sent to help her is a Turkish nobleman. War as chores, played in the farmyard by Blanche Sweet and House Peters. During one scene a rifle loaded with a live round killed an extra, a fact the production carried. DeMille and Jeanie Macpherson wrote it; Lasky, 1915, fifty minutes.
