An Austrian officer behind Russian lines hides as a waiter in the hotel the Russian general has taken over, and the chambermaid hides him. Mauritz Stiller runs the camera on a trolley through the hotel, and the general's dinner is the scene. Pola Negri, James Hall. Stiller's one finished Hollywood film, before the studio took the next one away. Paramount, 1927, eighty-five minutes.
