A suitor answers a classified ad for a mummy, wraps up a fake, and two Egyptian agents chasing stolen relics, in costumes half pharaoh and half 1918, get tangled in it. The joke is on nobody in particular, which was rarer than it sounds for Ebony, a Black-cast studio with white management working the mummy craze. Chicago, 1918, eleven minutes.
