Directed by James Vincent
James Vincent, American Cinema, 1920. Rudolph Valentino (still billed as Rudolph Valentine in some material) as a South American writer entangled with a married woman, Marguerite Namara. A five-reel society picture released before The Four Horsemen made him a name. Silent, roughly an hour. The surviving print is the one the later fame dragged back into circulation. Vincent shooting drawing rooms, not deserts.
