Limite

A man and two women drift in a small boat, and the film goes back into their lives, a prison, a marriage, a sewing job, a man who has run from a wife with leprosy, and returns to the boat. Edgar Brasil's camera lies on the ground, hangs from the mast, and follows the women down a road in shots that go on longer than any narrative needs. Mário Peixoto was twenty-one, chose the records to be played with it, Debussy, Satie, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and then kept the film from being shown for most of his life.
