Le Nain
1912 · FR
Directed by Louis Feuillade
A play arrives at a theatre with no author's name on it, becomes a hit, and the leading actress befriends the man who wrote it, who keeps a distance she does not understand. The writer is played by Delphin, a performer of short stature, and Louis Feuillade shoots the story plainly in rooms and lets the reveal be a reveal. A melodrama about a face the theatre would not put on a poster. Gaumont, 1912.
