Directed by Friedrich Müller, Robert Wiene
A girl runs away from boarding school, falls in with two tramps, and improves them by being harmless in their company. Sentiment with a police station in it. It is Robert Wiene's first credit as director, made with Friedrich Müller in 1913, and nothing in the frame leans: seven years before Caligari, the man who would paint shadows on the floor started with a well-lit kitchen.
