William Beaudine, United Artists, 1926. Pickford produced and stars as Molly, the oldest child on a baby farm at the edge of a swamp. Gustav von Seyffertitz is Grimes. Harry Oliver built the farm on several acres of stage swamp. Cinematographer Hal Mohr later said there was not an alligator within ten miles of her; the crawl is construction and optics. The escape is still the sequence.
