Malcolm St. Clair, Paramount, 1926, from George Kelly's Pulitzer play. Ford Sterling is the blowhard who marries into a family and talks them into trouble. Lois Wilson is the wife. Louise Brooks has a supporting part; she had been in Hollywood less than a year. The play is about a man who cannot stop performing. Brooks does the opposite. She just stands there and the frame notices.
