A. Edward Sutherland, Paramount, 1926. W.C. Fields is a small-town druggist talked into a Florida land scheme. Louise Brooks is the girl next door, the part Paramount kept giving her that year. Fields does the business with the picnic and the house. Brooks was a Ziegfeld dancer before this. The film uses her the way a revue uses a face. She holds a close-up anyway.
