Directed by Mabel Normand
Mabel Normand, Keystone, January 1914: her second film as director, a one-reel comedy. Mabel's father, the country constable, courts the mother of the boy Mabel has decided is her ideal. Two rival cut-ups and a supposed tramp in a closet interrupt the romance. Moving Picture World called it a nonsense number. Long thought lost; a print turned up in New Zealand in 2010 as Won in a Cupboard and reached the Library of Congress through the New Zealand Project.
